It’s a pretty handy pouch with the zipper and snaps. I believe this was originally made to snap into one of the Filson backpacks, but not certain. The bottom doesn’t have any signs of use – being put on the ground – neither the leather on the bottom nor the twill itself. Hence, my conclusion is that the bag has not been used or used sporadically, indoors.

Still, hearty as all get out. This particular example excels in several ways: the twill is rip/tear/hole free, the leather is thick and healthy even for this era. The single blemish on the handle strap is so superficial I actually dont understand how it exists—there is no material removed or disturbed.
